Like in other regions, new trainers get their pick of three starter Pokemon.
Meet the Main Cast!
To help create their trainers, I gave the players a form full of inspirational questions. Their responses told me about their backstories, personalities, physicalities, and of course their hopes & dreams.
I used that information to design their trainers. Below are our main characters.

The impatient party scales the locked gym and drops in from the roof. Midway through their battle with Petalia, mysterious nerds wielding ice Pokemon bust in and attack! The party joins forces with Petalia to defeat the nerds and she rewards them with the Petal Badge. However, upon exiting the gym, they see all of Sunshower Town is suddenly covered in snow! What's going on?!

Reward: Sunburn Badge + TM43 Flame Charge
The party restores the sunny weather with their bravery. Newly appointed gym leader, Ginger gives the party a fierce battle to show her worth. Smoke machines cover the battlefield in thick smoke, obscuring vision and making it hard to breathe! Our heroes guide their Pokemon through the smoke, coming out victorious and earning the Sunburn Badge. To celebrate, Ginger throws a surfing festival!

Old Rodeo of Secrets

Reward: Prickle Badge + TM71 Stone Edge
Our tireless party almost bites the dust in the harsh Fire Prickle Desert, but local sheriff Clint comes to the rescue! After they visit the Pokesaloon, rodeo, and a haunted gem mine, they return to Clint who challenges them to a stand-off style battle. He locks the trainers in a jail cell, releasing them one at a time to face off against his quickdrawing Pokemon. The party eventually lands the final shot and earns the Prickle Badge!

Evil forces are looking to sow chaos in Cirrus, and it's up to the party to stop them!
Legend of Glaciwing
This Pokemon is rumored to have fallen from the sky and into the Cirrus Sea, back in ancient times. It’s said that it makes its home on Glacis Peak in South Cirrus. Curiously, the party encounters Glaciwing outside Sandbreeze Town, where Team Vortex is using its power to turn tropical North Cirrus into a frozen wasteland!
With the power of their friendship, the party defeats Team Vortex and seals the legendary Pokemon in a relic called the Petennu Amulet. But...how do they unseal it?
